First Day Assignment
I think that the most important issue discussed last class is education. This is because lack of education is what causes the rest of the issues we discussed, including poverty, minority rights, environmental issues, etc. By being educated, people are more aware of what is going on. For example, our generation has been made much more aware of the environment than past generations were. This has resulted in a much "greener" attitude towards life in general and I'm sure that will continue to develop with other generations. Education could also help to prevent poverty because education not only helps you to obtain the qualifications necessary to get a job, but if we have more educated people we can be better equipped to deal with the poverty already in today's world.

I agree that education is vital to tackling other world issues. I especially liked the idea of educated the younger generations for years to come. This is significant because the are the future of any countries economy.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your viewpoint that education is the most pressing issue, and especially like your description of the ensuing domino effect. Also, I liked your "green attitude" example. It added perspective to your opinion.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting viewpoint and well written view on education as the most important issue but what it seems that your saying is that we need time to fix this issue, with the mention of other generations, and unfortunately time is not on our side. We must deal with global warming now before it is too late.
